MIX OF MONOCHROME
As much as I love a good grungy look I also love sportswear/streetwear. Personally I probably wear more sportswear than I do the outfits I style, I guess I just love being comfortable. Back in the day of having my own clothing brand I used to be inspired by a lot of other streetwear brands. Most of my shoots would be styled with air max trainers and big gold hooped earrings. I wouldn't say I'm someone that knows everything about the brands of streetwear like a few people I know but I've worked with some of them and in stores before. I really wanted to create some styling work that was more influenced by a current streetwear vibe but also what I'd been influenced by in the past. When I had my own clothing brand I did a small collaboration with "Just Hype", Liam, Hypes Creative Director has always been extremely supportive of the work I do even when Topshop used to put our stands right next to each other on the shop floor. Hype's team kindly leant me some incredible new items of theirs for the shoot including new pieces from their collaboration with Coca Cola. I'm pretty impatient when it comes to getting work done so when none of my friends were around in Sheffield to shoot I decided to do it myself. I've worked on more studio shoots then I can count now but obviously not being behind the camera. Clearly I've learnt more than I thought as I managed to get some shots I'm super proud of out of the shoot and really captured the style I wanted to capture, stripped back, clean and all about the outfits. Although admittedly did call my mate Leo in a panic about the light settings.
I got to work with a super stunning new face from Jadore called Reanna. It's always such a pleasure working with genuinely lovely people, Reanna is definitely one of those and she made the shoot super good fun.
(I did mix some sneaky girly looks in there too)
