RED, WHITE AND BLUE.
I had planned to get way more posts written about my LA trip before September but by the looks of it I've been swamped. When I was over in LA I got to meet up with my good friend Lina. I'd not actually met Lina before my LA trip but we'd been online friends for a good couple of years. Our good friend and super tour guide Ron organised for us to shoot Lina in some outfits I styled up around by his work on Melrose Avenue. Ron was shooting some photos for BAIT around the store so Lina and myself jumped in on the action.
I wasn't sure on the location of where we'd be shooting so I organised the outfits at the apartment before in a red, white and blue theme (with some added black pieces). I thought it would be pretty cool considering it was a collaboration between myself and my two good American friends and what better colours to represent the UK and the US. I mixed pieces from Miss Guided, The Ragged Priest and H&M. Shoes from Ego Footwear, Jeffrey Campbell and Dr Marten and accessorising with products from Regal Rose and Shop Moon Child. Some of my favourite pieces from the shoot are the Brace Jeans from Ragged Priest, they fit incredibly well for a pair of high waisted Mom Jeans, the added ringed effect give them that grungy touch which suited the Nirvana T-shirt perfectly. The Longline Oversized Jacket from Miss Guided was another massive hit, the jacket is heavy therefore makes it hang off the body extremely well, every model that put it on over the course of the trip loved it. Another piece that stood out for me was The Lair Web Harness from Regal Rose which I teamed with the mesh star body from Miss Guided.
Lina is one of my favourite fashion and beauty bloggers so it was so much fun to work with her while I was out there. Devon, Lina's boyfriend came along for the shoot too, shout out to Devon for being a superstar. Here's a collection of my favourite images from the shoot. There a full range over on the styling section of the site. If the item is not in stock anymore I've linked a similar piece.
If you haven't already checked out Lina's blog, Lina is an absolute genius when it comes to make up and her hair is ever changing so her posts are always full of new, original content. Lina is such an inspiration and super babe.
