PAPERCHASE BAGS

August 7, 2017

I was extremely lucky to take products from one of my favourite accessory/stationary brands out to LA. Paperchase might not be a high street store you immediately think of for bags but Paperchase are producing some of the coolest bags at the best quality and best price. Paperchase kindly leant me a couple of their new sample bags which launched back in July. These bags are rainbow unicorn/mermaid esc iridescent backpacks with rainbow zippers and pastel branding. The bags are extremely good quality with a waterproof outside and inner lining. If you are like me and seem to be living out a bag most days you'll find you can fit a lot in one of these backpacks.

Myself and my travelling pal/good friend Stacey stayed in a stunning hotel called "Mama Shelter" out in LA. Mama Shelter has a stunning rooftop bar and restaurant which is extremely popular in the area. We got to shoot the bags and a few accessories on the rooftop of Mama Shelter in the morning before it got too busy. If you are looking to stay in LA, Mama Shelter is a hotel definitely worth looking at, the beds are like clouds.

If you are loving rose gold at the moment, Paperchase have the most stunning rose gold backpack with matching laptop bag. Rose Gold is a massive trend at the moment especially in interiors and jewellery but not a lot of companies have delved into creating rose gold bags or clothing. We got to shoot this Rose Gold Bag out in Pasadena. Pasadena is such a stunning place with the most incredible natural lighting. We shot these images on the top of a car park, as much as it doesn't sound glamorous we got this stunning horizon in the background. I styled this Rose Gold Bag with some Rose gold sunglasses from Quay Australia which are available from Topshop, a sky blue denim skirt from Ragged Priest and monochrome tie dye t-shirt from Miss Guided.

Another bag we shot out in Pasadena was a super cute baby pink backpack. Honestly I swear this bag is Mary Poppin's bag, what you can put in it is never ending. This bag lends itself to the saying "What have you got in there, the kitchen sink?". The bag is faux leather and incredibly soft it has silver detailing and really soft adjustable straps that are extremely comfortable to wear. I styled up this baby pink bag with a bright pink Metallica T-shirt from Miss Guided, sky blue denim skirt from Ragged Priest with some chunky boots from UNIF and black choker from Shop Moon Child.

Paperchase recently used a couple of these images for their most recent email campaigns based on the best bags for jet setting. I absolutely love Paperchase's graphics and marketing campaigns so to have a piece of work created by sixsix6 incorporated it's a great feeling.
